Talk about bias! The BBC Board has been stuffed with Tory appointees. Tim Davie stood as a Conservative candidate in the nineties. Robbie Gibb, the brother of an ex-Tory MP, was said by Emily Maitlis to be an active agent for the party and its former chairman Richard Sharp donated £400,000 to them.

‘Gibb’s supporters say he is trying to save the BBC from itself; he was also heard last year to say that if he didn’t get his way, he would “blow the place up”.’

Note that still in post at the BBC is Robbie Gibb, who helped set up GB News, and John McAndrew, formerly director of news and programmes at GB News.
