2/? While it is clear to most previous RS customers what happened, all of the concrete complaints that have arisen have been able to be swept aside with the excuse of changing financial conditions. This here indicates that they never had an intent to continue the RS brand as a subsidiary with agency

I think the reason this has been compelling news to some is that CR eating RS has always been retconned as a necessary series of financial decisions, rather than an intentional concentration / vertical integration in the market. RS was supposed to continue existing indefinitely as its own brand.
