I was born in a water moon… Since then I've paid an inordinate amount of attention to politics, made Sheffield my home, and made lots of things with yarn. Queer, disabled, democratic communist, one half of Mary James maryjamesauthor.wordpress.com

If you've never heard the term "family voting" before, it's because it's a term made up by Democracy Volunteers who really like to frequent elections in Tower Hamlets

The really dark fun is that Labour can't make Starmer resign because they need him as a human meat airbag to handle getting absolutely vivisected in the May local elections.

THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!! Morgan McSweeney, Keir Starmer, Peter Mandelson....you boys took a HELL of a beating tonight.
@greenpartyhan.bsky.social @zackpolanski.bsky.social This is just the beginning.

Presumably there will now be wall to.wall coverage of Green policies and Polanski will be all over the TV.
Isn't this how it works for Farage?
Starmer must now call a snap general election for no reason other than seeing tonight replicated in about 350 seats at once would be the funniest event in human history

The Reform bandwagon stalls again. Three times in three by-elections:
Gorton and Denton: Green;
Caerphilly: Plaid Cymru;
Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse: Labour.
The media said Reform were favourites in each. Maybe we could hear a bit less abt the Reform bandwagon from them from now on.
Interesting little discussion

"Let's look through the right-hand window.
People who come to Britain are called migrants.
Jim is a Brit who lives outside the UK, but Jim is not called a migrant, because he is white and very rich.
Jim is called an ex-pat, which is much nicer."
Yeah, I get it
