We're here because Donald Trump is trying to rig the system.

He doesn't play by a different set of rules — he doesn't believe in the rules.

On Monday, I gave Donald Trump a chance to back off on having his GOP lapdogs rig next year’s elections by further gerrymandering red states.

He instead chose personal power over our country.

This November, California voters will be given the option to fight back.

California will not look away from the election rigging orchestrated by Donald Trump.

If Texas or any state manipulates their maps to silence voters, we will act — because free and fair elections belong to the people, not a corrupt few willing to break the system to hold power.

Five years ago, we entered what became California's biggest wildfire year on record.

31 lives were lost, thousands of homes were destroyed, and countless livelihoods were torn asunder.

On November 4th in California, you will have the power to stand up to Donald Trump. You will have the power to stand up for people.

We're going to give the people of this state the power to stand up for democracy.

I hope people are starting to understand that trump is engineering a Great Depression. The idea is to depress asset values so that his buddies can buy everything up for 20 cents on the dollar.

I appreciate Newsom's social media pushback, but it still seems like the most useful thing he could do is just tell the LAPD to stay home.
