That would make sense as I seem to recall getting each band’s performance onto a side of a C90 cassette, recorded off Radio Trent. Sadly we didn’t get our first (Betamax) video recorder until 1982! 🙄😂

Nice one. It was slightly before my time (not quite old enough to go gigging) although I do remember seeing a poster for the Motörhead gig in the city centre when I was shopping for records and really wanting to go to it! Had to settle for the TV broadcast in the end… 🙄

Anyone else remember this short-lived ATV (later Central TV) series? Pretty sure if was simultaneously broadcast on Radio Trent as I have a poor quality audio cassette recording of Motörhead’s show somewhere…

I can remember watching this when it was first broadcast. I think it may have been simultaneously broadcast on Radio Trent at the same time? Other shows in the Rockstage series included Motörhead (and Girlschool) and one of the 2 tone bands, Specials or Selecter? It was quite a novelty back then.

Having said that, previous journo’s (including Uncle Colin) have been criticised in the past for not being inquisitive or delving enough, especially when Notts are playing poorly, so maybe Adam is just trying to ask the questions (some) fans want to hear the answers to. He is a fan himself afterall.

That’s a good point. I often cringe when he frames questions like “does that concern you?” when the answer is obviously “of course it f*****g concerns me!” but he can’t say that. He also needs to take the hint that MP won’t discuss individuals or injuries as it gives too much away to opposition.

It’s taken me a while but I’ve warmed to him (I think!). Not a fan of the long silence while he considers his answers but I’d rather have that than some cliched sound bite. It’s also clear he’s not a fan of interviews so often gives Adam a hard time. Would love to hear Charlie Slater interview him…
