A shoe-box sized system on the @space_station could break ground in #quantum communications, overcoming the limitations of fiber optics.

The SEAQUE experimentโ€™s first results were unveiled at #APSSummit25. Read more in APS News: go.aps.org/4ix3K7w

An illustration titled Quantum Rubikโ€™s Cube on a beige background. The cube is laid out with 9 tiles on each side. Each tile has a circle in the middle with one color and two different colors filling in the sides of the square, representing the different options for each cube with superpositioning. Next to the cube, text reads โ€œsuperposition of colorsโ€ with an arrow pointing to the cube. Below the text is a venn diagram showing all the color possibilities.

New in Physical Review A: Researchers take the Rubik's cube to the next level, introducing #superposition where tiles can occupy multiple positions simultaneously. They found combining classical and #quantum moves equals faster puzzle-solving.

The first SCOAP3 assessment of open science practices gave our journals high marks. A review of @PhysRevLetters, @PhysRevC, and @PhysRevD earned nearly double the total score of the next-highest publisher, showing our commitment to #OpenScience.

A visualization of solid displacement in a hydrogel sphere, representing a model brain. The color map ranges from blue at the center, representing low displacement, to red at the edges, representing high displacement. Arrows indicate displacement direction, pointing outward from the center towards the edges. A scale on the right quantifies dimensionless displacement values. The label "displacement" is displayed vertically.

A new study in Physical Review Fluids suggests extra padding in headgear could reduce #brain damage caused by rotational impact injuries. Researchers tested this type of impact by modeling the brain as a hydrogel sphere inside liquid mimicking cerebrospinal fluid.
