Navigating the Political Shift in Therapy – Epistemic Injustice I have been trained in and practiced for the last 25 to 30 years in Person-Centered Therapy which is a branch of humanistic psychology that fundamentally focuses on individual needs in a client-centered way. Its main purpose is to help individuals develop their inner strengths and find their own path, rather than being directed by the therapist's perspective. One of the core beliefs in Person-Centered Therapy is that the client understands best what is happening in their life and what the underlying issues are for them that bring them to counseling.

Mental health treatment needs to shift from viewing individuals as sick patients to recognizing that society itself is the true patient in need of healing. Social change is the necessary remedy. Human problems are contextual rather than solely individual, they encompass both political and personal.

Personal Space and Community: A Park Encounter As I was contemplating starting a new blog, I encountered a very unusual and peculiar experience in my local park that I would like to share with my readers. Only yesterday, I was doing my second round of walking around the park as usual. I sat down on a bench to check my messages -for some reason I kept getting notifications for new message - it is because it is a new week and it is Monday that I am getting more emails and more notifications - I don't usually sit down, have a rest and check my phone when I am walking - I typically do everything on the go, but today I did, just because I felt like it.
