i'm not a saying it's paradise over there, but even just achieving that standard of living would be a massive improvement for *many* people and would probably require a herculean effort to boot

i live in a suburb of a decent american city with an apartment about that size and it costs 2700+ to live here a month.

in NYC, an apartment that size is typically priced at 6-7k+

in *most* american cities (not mine, thank god), bus service literally does not cover enough ground to live car free

i hit the discord and apparently there's a bug going around with certain labors not generating tasks; it wasn't just engraving for me, but also smelting and wood burning.

apparently someone had a save where hauling didn't generate tasks at all

despite constant menu diving, i cannot get anyone to smooth any stone anywhere, but i can't tell if i'm ignorant or if it's a bug
