Shinsou Hitoshi gets thrown into the past. His sudden appearance causes a domino effect that has massive ramifications for the future that he knows and loves. He tries to minimize his impact while Nedzu looks for a solution, but he accidentally lets slip that the attack on Aizawa and Shirakumo wasn't a coincidence. He joins his mentor's graduating class and has to face a teenage version of him who seems to hate his guts. Yamada and their friend Shirakumo take him under their wing, despite his obvious objections.

Shouta is secretly overjoyed when Hitoshi requests that he help keep Hitoshi company after therapy, and he makes plans to help ground him when his appointment is through. Hitoshi gets treated to a quiet afternoon playing keep away with a hoard of cats determined to get his food before being guided to Hizashi and Shouta's apartment for the night rather than his own.

Oh, and some well-written smut. So when Hizashi insists he must watch this exclusive camboy's show, he resigns himself to an evening watching a pretty twink awkwardly contort themselves in a webcam. Not his favorite Saturday night pastime. But when the time for the stream rolls around, and Shouta finds himself logged on, he's treated to a bold love confession on-screen, told through the lens of a fantasy in the honeyed words of a master storyteller. Then, he realizes that the man on the other side of the camera is one of his old students. And then he knows. Because there's only one former student of his daring enough to pull this off.

At 19, almost 20 years old, Shinsou Hitoshi confesses to his former mentor, Aizawa Shouta, and gets rejected in a conversation so awkward he wishes he could sink through the floor. A few weeks later, he's celebrating his 20th birthday with friends at a bar when he's approached by a fairly new daylight hero who offers to buy him a drink. Hitoshi, still feeling hurt by Aizawa's rejection, takes him up on the offer. A few drinks later, he thinks he's about to get his first-ever kiss right there at the bar when Aizawa appears between them and has the gall to start acting like a jealous boyfriend. He might be tipsy, but he isn't stupid, and as much as he wants to make Aizawa suffer for the fool-headed notion that Hitoshi should be with someone else, someone his age—well, he wants Aizawa more. And Aizawa clearly wants him, even if he tries to excuse his behavior as simply being overprotective of his naive former student. Now, Hitoshi just has to get him to give in to taking what he wants.
