Russian engineering doesn’t stand still, and this time they've created something resembling a vehicle for moving through pipes.

Judging by its size, camera, and remote control, the device is likely intended for transporting cargo, not People.

Trump just fired Erika McEntarfer for doing her jobβ€”releasing an accurate jobs report. He can’t handle the facts.

Meanwhile, Ghislaine Maxwell is headed to a cushy, low-security prison… waiting for her Trump pardon.

Facts get punished. Criminals get comfort. That’s the Trump doctrine.

Firing the BLS Commissioner β€” the wonk in charge of the statisticians who track economic reality β€” is an authoritarian four alarm fire.

It will also backfire: You can't bend economic reality, but you can break the trust of markets. And biased data yields worse policy.

If you want a weird but true fact to talk about:

Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring, was instrumental in this. His doctorial thesis in molecular biology was sequencing mRNA in HIV. The paper was also heavily cited in creating the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Rose Garden at the White House is now just a big swath of white paving stones circled by drains shaped like American flags and with a presidential seal at each corner.

The photo on the right was what it looked like in 2015 (before Trump’s first term when they uprooted all the trees).

Update: I offered the amendment. Not to refuse acceptance of the Qatari jet; just to prohibit Trump from taking it with him when he leaves office - after the taxpayers spend $1 billion to retrofit it.

Failed 14-15. Every single Republican voted to allow Trump to take the jet.

Trump spent a *third* of his campaign budget on virulent transphobia.

Telling trans people to not worry, after having a $200 million target painted on them for *months* with barely any pushback from the Dems, is wildly unhelpful.

By agreeing to the 15% plus purchases (and backing off on planned services regulation?), it is much more likely that this is a durable outcome.
Worse, the EU has effectively legitimised the actions of a US administration riding roughshod over the global trade regime.

I have yet to read a single story about men adopting AI at work (without being told) at a higher rate than women that presents it as anything other than men being smart. Not one story about how it implies they're lazier and less ethical.
Because that's not the narrative that's being pushed about AI.
