For anyone experimenting with MCP servers/tools on Linux and missing Claude on Desktop I recommend Goose Desktop. It *just* works.
It also means you can begin writing your MCP functionality using stdio, bypassing HTTP and OAuth until you are ready.

hyprland.org and github.com/mylinuxforwo... are fun and I could easily spend a lot of time playing with it to make things perfect.
Back to Gnome on Fedora 41 for now though.
