In June, the North American Association of Sports Economists (NAASE) announced the establishment of the Coates-Humphreys NAASE Distinguished Research Award, named for Econ's Dennis Coates and WVU's Brad Humphreys.

Dr. Coates and Dr. Humphreys are the inaugural winners.
