When kids are dying every day from gun violence, what is more important?
04.10.2025 15:25 β π 5 π 6 π¬ 0 π 0Ten years ago, on Oct. 1, 2015, a shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon killed a professor and 8 students & wounded even more. The incident only took minutes, but its trauma will last a lifetime.
Students and teachers shouldn't have to hide under desks to stay alive. We deserve better.
Honored that my friend @moliver00.bsky.social asked to include my daughter Jaime in his 30 under 30 magazine. The Forbes 30 under 30 looks out those who made it. This one looks at those who should have made it but because of gun violence won't. Please take a look.

Weapons of war don't belong in our communities. We must do more to honor the victims and survivors of this tragedy to ensure nothing like this can happen ever again.
01.10.2025 17:46 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks to Brady supported legislation and litigation, ghost gun recoveries in Baltimore have declined nearly 40% since 2022.
But even more important, is the life-saving impact that the city has seen as a result: The number of youth shooting victims fell 55% during that same time period.
In America, where there are more guns than people, too often a weekend night out turns into tragedy.
28.09.2025 11:39 β π 6 π 7 π¬ 0 π 0We now know at least four people were killed and eight others were injured in the shooting and fire at a church in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan.
These tragedies are not inevitable. We deserve action. We deserve safety.
On this National Day of Remembrance, weβre recommitting to fight for a future free from gun violence and to center the voices of survivors in our efforts. πβ#NationalDayofRemembrance #EndGunViolence
25.09.2025 19:00 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0We think of the loved ones who will never come home again and the families and friends who donβt just mourn their loss, but are faced with the trauma of gun violence. We refuse to accept this as normal.
25.09.2025 19:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Today, Sept. 25, is the National Day of Remembrance, a day to honor victims, support survivors, and recognize the groups working to heal communities.
25.09.2025 19:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Gun violence has taken a devastating toll on LGBTQ+ communities. Nearly two-thirds of U.S. firearm deaths are suicides, and one-third of LGBTQ youth report contemplating suicide.
25.09.2025 16:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Two months ago, the Trump administration eliminated the specialized suicide crisis lifeline for LGBTQ+ youth. Before it was shut down, a young person could dial 988 and press β3β to reach specialized counselors.

introduced the bipartisan 988 LGBTQ+ Youth Access Act to restore this life-saving service for particular vulnerable young people.

Today, a shooter attacked an ICE facility in Dallas, leaving 1 person dead and 2 injured. At least 2 of the victims were being detained.
We all deserve dignity & freedom from gun violence.
Team ENOUGH Lexington members joined partner One Lexington at the Lexington, KY, City Council meeting to deliver remarks highlighting the experiences of young people in Lexington, emphasizing the steps needed to further reduce violence in the city.
19.09.2025 14:27 β π 3 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0After every school shooting, we ask why congress hasnβt acted. But, Stanford research shows this isnβt just politicians failing to act, itβs the gun lobby buying their silence.
Just as outrage starts to build, the gun lobby swoops in to protect their profits over our lives.

After deadly school shootings, gun lobby donations to congressional candidates spike 30% in affected districts and 1,700% near elections. While we shed tears, they cut checks.

Team ENOUGH was born after the Parkland shooting. We know the pain of gun violence in our schools, because we lived it.
Now, we organize students nationwide to take action and demand safer communities.
No matter your politics, every American deserves freedom from gun violence.
When HB 128 passed in August, professors warned open carry would make campuses less safe.
Utah lawmakers ignored them, instead siding with the gun lobby.
Now Utah students are living with the consequences.
Last month, Utah made it legal to openly carry guns on campus.
This month, Charlie Kirk was shot on one.
If we can all agree he shouldnβt be shot while speaking, why canβt we agree students shouldnβt be shot while learning?

It is not enough to dismiss threats as βnot credibleβ or to offer condolences after shootings.
America must take direct action to ensure prevention, protection, and lasting solutions. Student deserve to pursue an education defined by opportunity and possibility, not fear, violence, or hate.
Even when threats prove to be hoaxes, the damage is real. The psychological toll, the disruption to education, and the climate of fear are unacceptable. Gun violence continues to shatter families and communities, leaving survivors and young people burdened with trauma they shouldn't have to carry.
13.09.2025 14:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0These incidents, though different in form, reflect a deeply troubling reality: students across America are being denied the basic right to safety in spaces designed for growth, learning, and community.
13.09.2025 14:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Earlier this week, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) faced a wave of threats that disrupted learning and instilled fear, while separate shootings in Colorado and Utah tragically turned schools into crime scenes. π

Instead of responding to gun violence with decisive action we get divisive rhetoric.
This moment calls for leaders that will promote unity and take action on guns.
This week Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at a Utah campus event. Three students were shot at a high school in Colorado.
Several HBCUs went on lockdown for "terrorism" threats.
And many other shootings took place that didn't make national headlines.
We must take action to end this violence!
Yesterday, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at an Utah campus event. Today, several HBCUs are on lockdown for "terrorism" threats.
There is too much violence on our campuses. We must take action to put an end to these tragedies and create the safe spaces young people deserve.
