there's no writeup on this and the video description is useless shilling. is this nothing more than "if you give a bot mod powers and the ability to echo what chat says, chat can likely abuse that mod power"?

because yes, if you let users type things into admin command boxes, that's what you get

problem is that Meta bet Horizon on the opposite: making building very simplistic, figuring that they'd get a lot more UGC with a low barrier to entry

instead, it was too simplistic to build anything interesting, so didn't attract creators

so of course they're doubling down, with AI

it's impressive how dedicated Meta's management is to absolutely refusing to learn a single lesson from decades of virtual world attempts

there's also a bunch of other larger issues, like the copyright problem (VERY important in open source) and the wildly disproportionate power usage

the spam problem with massive increases in randos submitting garbage is the more visible one

but in projects that've adopted LLM use, I've seen plenty of examples of knowledgeable longtime contributors introducing LLM-authored issues that required disproportionate effort and attention to catch

even that is too naive

the problem is that these tools are very good at making things that LOOK good at first glance, but bad at making things that actually ARE good

they encourage ALL contributors to put in less effort, not just randos, while increasing the effort needed to review their quality

the greatest concentration enhancer in my entire life is a playlist of anime nightcore brainrot music youtube autogenerated for me five years ago, and I have no idea why

i made most of the program super extensible so it'd be easy to add new connections later, but Actions were only used for VTS at the time, so I must've skipped designing extensibility there
