Most of the time I write in order because I don't have an outline or plot planned, so I'm figuring out what happens as I go along. On the occasions I do write out of order, bridging the sections is its own painful challenge. It truly depends on the fic.

I've been slow doing art the past couple of days, and add to that an obsession with rendering Dorian in that dress that ended up with me completely recoloring his skin...

Painting skin is still so frustrating for me. It always looks wrong. The colors don't look right. I should do more studies.

Callin didn't have many friends before the Veilguard. He worked alone for the most part, and while he was friendly (and remains so) with some of his fellow fledglings in House de Riva, there wasn't a lot of fellowship. Having the team around changed him in positive ways.

Peaceful evenings in Treviso. A good meal. Friends. Lucanis.

Why am I getting popups from fucking Adobe Acrobat of all things, suggesting I sign forms with it and edit images in PDFs with it? Why is it advertising things to me like I opted in to this? If I could avoid this software even more, I would.

every video I'm trying to watch keeps stuttering and then acting like it's loading but not playing and this is a sign I need to summon the energy to do other things (I have no energy and want to go back to bed)

I noticed it got a couple of posts with (at least seemingly) hetero couples too, so at this point I really do think it's just the fact that there's skin showing.

Not that that makes any more sense. =P

Even when I was posting fic for DAI, I used to get a bunch of comments on every chapter with people speculating where it was going or just being excited to have more of the fic. The flood has become a trickle, if that. I don't know how often I've begged for *any* response and gotten crickets.

I have appealed this label but there is nothing NSFW in this post. There is a kiss, some hand touching, a cuddle with some skin showing, and Lucanis smiling. Somehow the auto mod decided that was suggestive. It is not.

Love the way the screenshots I post consistently get auto-labeled as sexually suggestive because there's one small kiss happening or some skin is showing. Love that so much. It's a great system functioning as intended.

It's not about the skill, you're having fun and it shows =)

lrp: this is also a big issue and problem within the community. I've had a friend pass on comments about my fic that were made in their discord, which I was very happy to see - but if they hadn't told me, I'd never have known. It is the *least* you can do to actually comment *to* the writer!

I've seen people comment abouts fics on Discord, on tumblr and reddit. They will gush about them. But the author? Has no idea but they have not told THEM!
If you can talk about your love for a fic elsewhere, tell the author the same or they might stop writing.

His skin needs to breathe. It's very important to his well-being.

The point of his shirt being open is crucial.
