Ukraine says the minerals deal presented by the United States differs substantially from an earlier framework that had been agreed upon.
Ukrainian officials have compared the new U.S. proposal on minerals to “lifetime reparations,” according to WP. One senior official said the deal looks as if “Ukraine was at war with the U.S., lost, was occupied, and now has to pay lifetime reparations.”

Macron calls emergency European summit on Trump, Polish minister says
