the same way I don't love Chopin, Schumann, Rachmaninoff etc bc they (the Romantic composers) feel manipulative to me, some tv shows feel manipulative (cause me to weep with utterly PREDICTABLE storylines). but I love the shows that make me weep. maybe I should re-listen to the music.
