Great to meet up with the two new SNP Councillors in Glasgow, Mhairi Hunter and Donna McGill.

Tremendous boost to our team in Glasgow and a sure sign of the SNP gaining ground again.

Who will defend Europe? Caught between an aggressive Russia and a disengaging America, the continentโ€™s western democracies must now rearm โ€” or pay the price

In this new world, if you're not around the table, you're on the menu.

If China, Russia, US are allowed to decide Europe's future, our future won't be ours.

European leaders...lead!

Think back about the fuss over Fracking. The Scottish government found a loop hole and stopped it. We were told it was necessary. Necessary for whom? Not the people.

Well done SNP saving our water and country side.

Very welcome news that unemployment in Scotland has fallen to 3.8% and is lower than the rest of the UK.

Scotlandโ€™s economy has grown faster than the rest of the UK, but we need to do more to deliver growth and progress - I will be setting out views in a speech tomorrow.

The real question for opponents of Scottish independence is what do other NW European nations have that makes them prosperous & successful but which Scotland lacks? Are crumbling public services & the growing chasm between rich & poor under Westminster really the best Scotland can aspire to?

Unbelievably, even Farage โ€˜seemsโ€™ concerned about the post Brexit tanking of the U.K. economy now. We need to unapologetically make clear to Scotland that our best prospect for economic prosperity is through an independent Scotlandโ€™s membership of the EU.

Any person interested in the creative process should read of listen to Al Pacinoโ€™s memoir โ€œSonny Boyโ€. His audiobook reading is amazing. And the book is so inspiring, honest and entertaining. My review.

ยฃ1bn funding boost for councils to tackle homelessness Deputy prime minister announces cash injection as 160,000 children face spending Christmas without a regular home.

Very welcome news but, as Shelter points out, "you cannot solve homelessness without homes" and Labour's policy on free movement means we build them with one hand tied behind our back.

The Scottish government's intention to scrap the disgraceful two child benefit cap - a monstrous policy which drives kids and families into poverty - should be worn as a badge of everlasting shame by the Labour government in London. Be a human being, Starmer, and follow suit
