With our current administration, receiving access to Abortion has been increasingly difficult. From travel costs, lodging, treatment, and more, this can cause a toll on anyone receiving care. This is where you can take action!

Volunteer Registration - People's Party This is the Volunteer Registration for the People's Party. The dates are 4/25/26 7p-10p and we will need volunteers for various roles at the event. We are also looking for volunteers for Catalysts for Reproductive Justice Fellowship in-person convening on 4/24-4/27. Please ensure you read each volunteer role carefully before choosing your role. Event Details Location: Redmont Hotel - 2101 5th Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35203* Date & Time: Saturday, April 25th 7p-10p *We will have security for this event but please do not share the location with anyone for the safety of all volunteers, staff and attendees. We will do our best to accommodate all volunteer role preferences but we may assign volunteers to different roles as needed. As a part of the 4th Annual Catalyst for Reproductive Justice Fellowship, YHF is hosting an in-person Pleasure Party! We need volunteers to assist with setup and breakdown, to welcome attendees and guide them around the space, and to be generally available for any needs anyone might have.

We’re hiring an Inventory Manager.

This role helps keep Yellowhammer Fund’s spaces, equipment, and program materials organized and ready to support our work across Alabama.

We are excited to announce our upcoming People's Pleasure Party! 💜

The People’s Pleasure Party is a joyful, sex-positive event and the official fundraiser for Yellowhammer Fund’s Family Justice Program.

During our packing parties, a wide range of items such as condoms, lubricants, emergency contraception, and other essential reproductive health products are carefully packed and prepared for distribution. We are grateful to those who come out every month to provide for our people.

Our volunteers are an essential part of the pipeline that keeps our community resourced.  Their dedication and hard work form the backbone of our efforts, enabling us to provide the necessary services and resources that our community relies upon.

We drove over 700 miles from Birmingham to Chicago to document the reality that Deep Southerners are living every day. This is a reality where abortion access has been forced across state lines due to state-sanctioned reproductive oppression.

Road to Care is a Yellowhammer Fund docu-series that follows the journey Southerners are forced to take for basic healthcare and the community networks that make care possible anyway.

Something is coming.

Stay tuned for the full docu-series release beginning March 10th with a new episode airing every day until the 14th at 11 am CST.

Because this isn’t just a road trip.
It’s a reflection of what’s at stake.

By strengthening the ties between those most impacted and those in positions to respond, ABEI demonstrates that “The Power of Connection” is not just thematic—it’s the framework through which birth equity becomes achievable and sustainable in the Deep South.

This initiative shows how shared care practices create both healing and accountability.

For ABEI, connection is the intervention. It links community wisdom to clinical care, local networks to statewide systems, and immediate needs to structural change. In Alabama, connection must be built intentionally between doulas and doctors, organizers and clinics, data and lived experience.
