I thought the same. Only thing i could come up with was it was also being used as a route learner or refresher for east west route or Marston Vale?

Nice catch Zara. I love 68s. For modern locos i think they sound fantastic. Not as good as the older first generation engines such as 37s but good in their own right

#SignalboxSunday After the two shots of No.2 box last week here's Stockport No.1 box which is at the opposite end of the station & is almost as impressive. Sun wasn't ideally placed but couldn't let our visit go by without a shot of this one too. 12/9/25

When we heard GB was doing ours we were hoping for 69s but they appear to be doing the Kent work i think. I never thought of the GB 57s as a possibility, you've got lucky there!

We've had DB Cargo sheds on the southern MML for as long as i have been photting it. This year we have GBRF operating it. ...using hired in DB sheds 🤦🏻‍♂️😂😂
