One in five people in the United States feels lonely “a lot of the day” every day. 30% feel lonely at least once a week for the past year.

Loneliness is structural. Thoughts and an offering that’s helped me keep walking.

I’m really interested in the idea of primacy.

Why wouldn’t the mini serve as an externalized depiction of an arrested emotional or conceptual state, rigid like its posture?

Fascinating morning thoughts.

IMO one of the most stable things about the DSM is the cottage industries around therapy and "wellness" that diagnoses create.

All while reifying the idea of "diverging" from a normalcy that doesn't exist.

We diagnose and treat individuals too much, systems too little.

Not saying it doesn't exist for individuals.

Am saying systemic factors like standardized education, isolation (e.g. stay at home orders in a historic pandemic), class stratification, chronic stress, can lead to "on the spectrum" symptomologies.

We'd briefly re-convene at the end to check-out and name what they worked on...planting seeds for the next month.

I'm gauging interest before committing to the logistics. Does this idea resonate with people?

You could join as an individual or with people you already know.

Folks who join as individuals could chat together about the them, following a suggested agenda (like completing a "needs" worksheet and sharing).

Groups could use the space for their pod building and maintenance.
