I’ve been putting dog food out each night for the past few years since my Ring video had shown some sickly looking foxes that didn’t seem like they were able to find food anymore.

Now I get foxes, raccoons, possums, and the occasional stray cat. Had a coyote come by a few times in 2024.

Clearly tough to beat this cuteness!

I saw 2 foxes playing in the snow last night out my window. I wish the Ring had captured it. They took turns chasing each other, then when getting close would just turn around and dive into the snow.

I had a conversation with a Congressional staffer about 15 years ago who talked about what they do when getting calls about a specific concern. He said that if they start getting 10-12 calls in the same 1-2 day span, it generally escalates to where the office would work on a response right away.
