This is the reality of means-testing and work requirements. Even those on the left can fall for this stuff and ignore the costs. To end this madness, we need to go universal. Since Polygon is leaving it out of the headline: Epic Games partnered with The Game Awards to put money into the pocket of a bigot who uses her wealth to further the genocide of trans people through lawsuits and legislation. Every 'free' game gives money directly to JKR, and they are complicit.

I do feel like they still are overall sweet - and that the way they dealt with the trauma afterwards was positive, at least for a non expert like me - but I understand a parent wanting to know it's there at least so they can have a conversation before/after or avoid that subseries.

this is a good story but it shows that people still fundamentally misunderstand LLMs - there is no "working properly", they're inherently probabilistic models. hallucinations aren't a bug, they're a fundamental part of language models. these aren't fact machines!!!
