This sucks and it feels like the thing with the gun store in my neighborhood last month. You protest and they say “we’re just calling balls and strikes! They meet the criteria for opening; nothing we can do!” Okay, bring me to the guy who can say no to something then.

Almost all of my former colleagues got laid off today from the same company where I worked for several years. I just feel so bad for everyone and I feel even worse being several months ahead of them in the process and knowing how hard it’s gonna be.

On one side they owned an optical shop. On the other other side he worked at a Caterpillar plant and she was a church secretary so like, not rugged but they were the first on both sides not to farm.

Went ahead and named my bar trivia team croutons and ranch in this kid’s honor

I am obsessed with this child following her father around the grocery store insisting she loves salad. He keeps asking her what parts of the salad she likes, and she is responding that she loves croutons and ranch, croutons and ranch, croutons and ranch.

I find it telling that they went to all this trouble to be cruel and harmful to the *300 people this applies to over an 11 year period.* it just highlights, I suppose, that the cruelty is the point.

My friends who went to these programs really benefited from them. I’m confident they’ll get great educations at Georgia Tech and Duke, etc., but this is arbitrary and stupid and, as Clay says, a real own goal.
