Michael did technically re-record I’ll Be There as an adult. Not to featured on a studio album though, but instead in a 1993 Pepsi in which Michael sings with his younger self. As for Never Can Say Goodbye? I guess the closest we got was Motown 25.

The closest we got to hear him sing ABC as an adult is in Work That Body as he reuses the “get up girl, I think I love ya” part, which Michael called his favourite part from ABC.

it was also rumoured that Michael would re-recorded ABC, I’ll Be There, and Never Can Say Goodbye for Decade, but Brad debunked this also.
Although he continued to perform some of the songs throughout his career, I would’ve loved to hear Michael re-record some classic Jackson 5 songs.

Brad Sunberg debunked this at one of his seminars, stating that Michael was indeed approached to record the track but decided to pass on offer.

The Beatles track Strawberry Fields Forever also appears on the track list. It was widely believed that Michael recorded a cover of this song too, along with Come Together, but this too is false.

Not only that but a fake track list has been shared as well, which includes the track It Doesn’t Really Matter. Although this song was being worked on at the time it has never comforted to be considered for Decade, and eventually turned into Who Is It.

First, just to get them out of the way, these two Decade album covers have been spread around, with some fans believing them to be real. They are not.

Apparently Michael wanted to only feature songs from Off The Wall to the present, whereas the label wanted to include Motown tracks too. This is where the known things about Decade end and from now will be all rumours, speculation, and debunked stuff, so let’s get into it.

Another apparent reason as to why Deacde was constantly being pushed and delayed was that Michael and the label couId not agree on what songs appeared on the album.

Music & Me (the only Motown track featured on the album) appears on both of the DAT tracks from 1990 and 1992. Seemingly the “Decade” gimmick was eventually dropped after a number of missed deadlines, and now spanned from the early 70s to early 90s.

The leaked DAT track list for the 1980 - 1990 version of the album only includes Heal The World as a new track, as well as Come Together which had been heard previously in the film Moonwalk.

The track list for Decade has since been leaked online, along with a bunch of other stuff, after Brad Sunberg’s personal laptop was stolen after one of his In The Studio With Michael Jackson seminars.
