Difficult to share with others in a sanitary way...

I'm considering rolling my own format with a half page (ashcan zine) as the target size.
I love the idea of publishing retro paper zines full of new retro style games.
I've got ideas for readers, the main idea being a hardware console that reads paper published programs.

One idea I had recently was to use paper with something like a QR code.
Normally they top out at 7k, but evidently there is a thing called iQR codes that go to 40k!
A Pico-8 "cartridge" is only 32k, so this is totally capable of retro gaming storage!
But I can't find implementation specs at all!

I'm very into the concept of making software something physical and permanent and ownable.

Mask ROM cartridges on old video games are great, but it seems like not an easy thing if even possible now.

CD/DVD seems to be fragile, dependent of increasingly rare drives.

What to do?

I'm the boss, but not in a "you work for me" kinda way, but in a "you have to defeat me to escape" kinda way.

If they are gonna build them, I'd rather they build them in space where they can't drive up our power bills or use our water.
Also, what *are* they using for power? Solar? Nuclear batteries? Hamster wheels?
