I mean, there is no war in Portland. There just isn’t. You can’t & won’t avoid reporting this story. But you’ll still find a way to try to report it in a way that gives him the benefit of the doubt.

And that’s wrong.

This will be called "evidence of consciousness of guilt" in subsequent criminal trials.

History rhymes a bit too well sometimes.

When an authoritarian, thin-skinned president forbids me to criticize him, some hear that as a threat, but I hear it as a challenge.

There's no excuse for the Vice President of the United States to use a heinous killing as an occasion to baselessly frame political opponents as accomplices to murder while threatening to use the power of the government to attack them.

This dangerous rhetoric will only fan the flames.

Here's a black and white photo of a young Joe Pesci playing a Gibson ES-345 guitar. This may have been taken when he was in Joey Dee and the Starliters.

This was taken at the Peppermint Lounge. Jimi and the Ronettes were members of Joey Dee and the Starliters ("Peppermint Twist") at the time. Other famous members of that band at various points were the Young Rascals and Joe Pesci. Yes, *that* Joe Pesci.

Bass: We just heard that the administration’s experiment failed. The raids that were happening in Los Angeles—the random pulling and snatching of people off the streets based on the language they spoke, their appearance, where they work—the court has said that can no longer happen.
