Rules can provide structure and consistency which most players want. I always liked the +2/-2 rule, a good situation the former and a bad situation the later. Simple.

There is the golden rule: to have fun!

Today's cosy 🦔 #ttrpg take is that your favourite system isn't perfect, you're just super attached to it because you have lots of nostalgic memories attached to it.

AD&D 1st edition for me, clunky and sublime in equal measure!

I have tried “mind maps” but I work better in a free-form environment. That way I can’t be restricted in my concept.

I go for a walk and let ideas pop into my head, immediately write them in notes on my iPhone and transfer them my laptop to work in. I tend to work better first thing in the morning.

I shall be taking part in the One Page RPG Jam this year, anyone else?
