I've been going to galleries my entire life and I don't understand why people fetishize them. If you have people willing to pay for your art then you are already doing better than the vast majority of artists who have their work in galleries. It's not very prestigious.

I think it's usually obvious when the intent of the artist is to arouse the viewer, but it can be hard when looking at older works of art because they thought a woman showing her ankles was provacative.

Whisper is genai. It uses the transformer architecture just like LLMs. It tried to predict what you say and that is what makes it better than the non genai text to speech models. Also genai has been around for a long time.

Creating text from speech is definitionally genai and it was trained off copywrited material. Also openai was supposed to primarily be a research company so it feels unfair to say they were always bad based on their commercial products.
