Wonder what all those religious folks think should happen to homosexual Matt Schlapp?

Grew up with both phrases in SE Mass. Not sure I've heard my folks say "close the light" in quite some time, but "down cellar" is still something they might say.

If market futures for tomorrow are any indication for next few months, he'll be impeached and out of office by then.

On balance, decent. Episodes 2 and 3 are awful. Each remaining episode always has bits of youth soap opera cringe, but the rest of the content holds up.

A chief complaint against Kamala by the Left was that she wouldn't be different than Biden. Well, Biden didn't attack Iran.

So, no it wouldn't be happening if people had voted for Kamala.

I see no value in getting animated over a costume. I care whether the show is telling decent stories.

There’s always going to be a cringe factor given the age target, but most of the episodes have held up well compared to Discovery for example.

I was among those who had doubts but have stuck with it. Putting aside episodes 2 and 3, which were truly terrible, the series has been pretty good. The youth cringe moments are there in each episode, but that's an audience targeting thing more than fundamental flaw.

It's like that Twilight Zone episode, The Masks. She got all that plastic surgery for nothing.

Start watching Heated Rivalry for pointers.

Corey's going to have to learn how to bottom.

Difference between a Gen X archbishop and a Boomer archbishop perhaps. We Gen X were children who only experienced Vatican II and not prior.

If one of the reasons she lost is poor campaign management, leading the DNC may not be the best use of her skills.

If I lived in TX, I would have voted for her. I'd be lying if I said his religious mix into politics didn't concern me, but I still think he'd be better than either of the GOP candidates by lots. So, I hope TX sends him to Washington in November.

I hope Mills wins, but how would Platner be worse than Collins?

It depends on the state. I'm willing to consider fairly red Dems if it means picking up seats in red states. A red Dem in a blue or even purple state is a nonstarter. Talarico for TX is fine.

Gerry Ford covered this years ago. The best chance would have been for Biden to have been re-elected and then step down mid-term. The US electorate could have then realized the world doesn't end just because a woman is sitting at the Resolute Desk.

I didn't say they were the same, but there would have been an opportunity for additional views than normal given how the Talarico interview availability played out.

If you're more worried about pride than reaching voters, you've already lost.

I think Colbert's team offered her time. If she didn't accept that whose mistake was that?

Iran has to recognize he's more useful to them right where he is.

IOW, you stop talking to anyone who won't completely agree with your view and then lament that you can't build a large enough block to win.

Have a nice life.

Which didn't answer my question. You answered what you want it to be, and FWIW, I'd love it to be as high-minded as you describe. It's not. Politics is a dirty business. Always has been.

Which would have meant no Biden, Trump, Obama, or Clinton.

Yes, it gets rid of the horrible Trump, but we lose three decent presidents.

So, don't think it's worth it.

Further, Mike Flynn, JD Vance and Pete Hegseth all served. I don't want any of them as president.

Not voting is a right. That's true.

Those who advocate it however want to claim it's consequence free. That's not true.

When not participating can affect the outcome, non-participants share accountability with participants.
