this opinion only applies to pve games that can have a smaller party size. for games like salmon run that forces u to have 4p ofc i prefer to have a full party of friends

with 2p tho. u just need to vibe check with 1 person, and each person's actions in the game felt like it holds sooo much more weight to it, also its way easier to coordinate game time lol

takes just a bit too long that the game flow felt choppy

i hate it when 1 person out of 4p gets super OP and hard carries the game (i hate being carried and i also dont want my friends to not-get to play the game), and there's always bound to be at least 1 person who gets lost or confused or just does whatever, and checking-in with everyone constantly

lukewarm take i LOVE pve games and i love playing with friends but for coop games (esp ones with story) that supports up to 4 players, i genuinely prefer to just play it with 2p... 4p has too many things going on and i dont like not understanding the game im playing, lore or gameplay/stat wise
