Growing up in the PNW, “you guys” was the default. When I moved to Tucson over a decade ago, I began working remotely with folks from all over, especially the South, so “y’all” slipped into my vocabulary without a fight, particularly since it’s non-gendered. But today I heard something I never expected in the wild. “Y’all guys.” I’m still trying to recover.

Watched del Toro’s Frankenstein last night. Absolutely loved it. It’s the first classic-horror adaptation since Coppola’s Dracula (’92) that feels like pure myth instead of just a monster movie. Handcrafted visuals, real emotional weight, and a Creature with an actual soul. What did you think?
