definitely worth a listen if you like the fringe, the strange, and the true beauty of average lives.

im glad i stumbled upon this. no moment is wasted, and everything is strangely serene. i think my favourite part is 2 minutes until the end into "cigarette covenant", the bitcrushing just itches my ears just right. also shoutout to 4 minutes into "... new age cult", with the overlapping vocals.

the most beautiful aspect is it's perfect imperfections. everything sounds like it belongs, but just barely. the live drums are recorded similar to early car seat headrest, giving an air of beauitful, flawed humanism.

cat online's self titled album is a chaotically beautiful set of songs of visceral and self immolating love. with a twinge of lofi style jangle pop, reminiscent of alex g, willy roduiguez, and drug bug, the four (?) piece provides an aching acoustic symphony.

BUT! it made a model! and it SUCKS! check it out:

it started tuning the model (went around 20 times i think?), and it showed me a graph of the output vs what it expected

i clicked YES because i can't read, and it showed me a graph and yelled at me again. WE KEEP GOING FOR SCIENCE

i downloaded it through pip, and started it. gave me the same error basically

it didn't work, because (verbatim):
* Your signal chain is too noisy.
* There's a time-based effect (chorus, delay, reverb) turned on.
* Some knob got moved while reamping.
* You started reamping before the amp had time to warm up fully.

so i decided to download NAM and run it locally

im borrowing a TASCAM 246 Portastudio from a colleague and i wanted to try and emulate it by running it through NeuralAmpModeler. i put it through the typical way, the TONE3000 website

LOL so i tried running a tape deck through NAM... and got some interesting results...

wait.... catastrophe..... wait......
