My friend Mohammed and his community in a displacement camp in Gaza are in need of water. If you're interested in donating, please DM me. I and many other people have purchased trucks of water, but any amount, no matter how small, helps and is appreciated.

Can 20 people join us today in donating to the Sameer Project for Ramadan? $8 provides a meal for a family, and $32 can pay for groceries. You can also donate more to fund a water truck or a water desalination plant.

Pass this on, please.

I’m Not Done With You | Mary Turfah You cannot harm a corpse, though you can use it to harm others.

β€œIsrael’s approach to the Palestinian body emerges from a cross between the utilitarian logic of how death becomes lifeβ€”here not between individual bodies but through them, for the nationβ€”and the retrofitted justification to kill, in life’s name.”

Her community rallied so fast and so diligently. This is a victory to uphold and celebrate. Reminds everyone that it's worth fighting back.

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧡

Shelter, Goods & Activities x The Sameer Project The inititaive was originally formed to secure, purchase, and distribute tents in Southern Gaza but in January 2026, the campaign was rebranded to "Shelter, Goods & Activities" to cover not only tents...

Seeing from Sameer Project that tents are breaking down. We are so angry that this is the ask since people should not have to continue to be displaced… but please pitch in so that they can replace tents that have torn and disintegrated after 2+ years.

Concentration Camps USA, Part 1 on loving ICE and preserving a concentration camp / on stealing history and erasing memory

What do these two things have in common?

1. Establishing a Japanese American concentration camp as a National Historic Site.

2. Thanking ICE for "protecting the homeland."

Trump Has Made ICE the Largest Law Enforcement Agency in the Country With Congress-approved funding, ICE detention is expected to triple in size, mirroring the scale of Japanese internment.

For @truthout.org I wrote an analysis of the mass deportation boom during 2025. Amid all the spectacle, the passage of the funding bill in July was an ominous milestone in the history of U.S. immigration policy and the Trump administration's aspiring fascism.

Since I wrote this last week, two more people have died in ICE custody: Heber Sanchaz DomΓnguez and Victor Manuel Diaz. That’s at least 6 people dead in ICE camps so far in 2026, and it’s only mid-January.
