Have we time traveled back to the 2010s? Are we here again?

I've had this movie memorized since I was 14 years old. 😅 I saw it in the theater more than once. And even used to watch it in spanish in high school because it was always showing on direct tv... it was great spanish language practice. 💀

This is has me cackling this morning.

Eloise feels the most likely character that resembles the author (or someone in her life) and she has the most depth of all of the siblings. If they mess her up- or mess up her match and house- I will be so sad. Some of the sweetest and funniest scenes in the whole series are in that book.

I was so irritated with some of the characters I bought the books last year because I was like- why do so many of these people suck so bad? And yeah- the books are straight regency romance. I am so nervous for Eloise's netflix story because 1) I like Eloise and 2) I love her story.

It is also insanely pretty. Like... I don't usually have that experience with a Jane Austen adaptation- the whole movie is visually stunning (colors, costumes, lighting). Adam and I rewatch it every 3-5 months because it is definitely a comfort movie now (similar to how I feel about 1995 P&P).

I mean 1) 1995 Pride and Prejudice but I am throwing that one out to say that I really loved the 2020 version of Emma. It felt like the book (Emma's dad is ridiculous in the book and Bill Nighy as Mr Woodhouse destroyed me.)

The number of times I have to say "Hi, I am sorry, but I cannot call you turdsky_000 please give me a real name, any name that sounds like it could be used by someone your mom's age, even if it is a fake one.

omg- this is like a dream for soccer kids. Build reinforced half walls around the edge and you have your own mini indoor futsal court when the weather is shit (and in MN- that's MONTHS of the year!)

I would never see my teens again if I lived in this house.

The only other thing we monitor as closely as this is game design/loot design/pass design that adopts gambling psychology hooks which means there is a lot of mobile content and season pass content/loops that we check first.

I am raising humans with developing brains- I am not tapping out on this.

My teens can play their friendslop games literally ANYWHERE else.

It will not be on Roblox.

Me: Absolutely not.

Blah blah blah it's on parents to monitor, blah blah blah- yeah. You want to know all of the other places my kids get to play games? It's most of them.

There's a reason (about a million) that Roblox is a non-starter in this house.

I love this response. I have two varieties of strawberries which are "michigan strawberries" and "whatever they sell in a grocery store" and 1) michigan strawberries are the best thing on earth and 2) whatever they sell in the store is a mystery box.

Hi! I understand why you want to see the images but they are super upsetting as a team. We do not want offensive imagery of our game at all and the fact that these exist is the problem in the first place. IGN opted to describe the offending image which I can assure you is politely accurate.

As far as we know (which is very little as to the scope of what happened beyond what was reported to us from our community members who were fed these ads) NITW and Tunic were not touched.

Hi! I am clarifying because the racist/sexist ai image of our game was in a slideshow (we did not make) based off a video asset (we did make). One image of the slideshow was modified- which was the main character in Usual June (which is still in development).

I am so irritated that there was even something to follow along to- I am way too busy for this.

If you were wondering why your ad data might be off or your ad comments are raising eyebrows (I know there are a lot of you- you are all talking about it privately) - I'd start asking questions.
