I see a lot of people say we shouldn’t use humor in dark times because it trivializes the seriousness of the situation, but there’s a lot of research that shows humor and mockery are highly effective against fascism.

I would really like to see that Republicans against Trump account that’s on X, on bluesky. i think id actually just like to interact with and include normal republicans who don’t cult-like follow Trump. i think that would be refreshing

Don’t be the same dusty ass you were on Twitter. Post your hobbies, your passions, talk with each other, follow people back. There is no reason for someone with like 78k followers to be following a handful of people. Don’t act like you’re an elitist dipshit here. We are nice here, to each other.

my daughter is strong-willed. she got mad at me the other day and said “shut up!” and stormed off. i let her walk away to cool off. a few seconds later i hear “by the way i still love you even though i said shut up!”. she’s 5. these are the moments i live for as a mom.

this is true except i left X because of the sheer violence going unchecked. i’m fine with interacting with those who have different views than me. that’s just life. i’m not fine interacting with the “your body my choice” crowd, constant misogyny, racism, homophobia.
