only the greens can stop reform, a vote for labour is utterly wasted right now, they are collapsing everywhere

reactionaries when progressives vote for progressives instead of reactionaries

There is only one way we will defeat Reform: together.

That’s why I’m backing the Greens in the Gorton and Denton by-election.

We are a mass movement of all ages, backgrounds and faiths β€” united in a belief that things can, and will, change.

Reading "The Art of War", and to me this passage sums up everything wrong with the Democrats, and how they are able to lose so consistently.

Field predicated on capitalism insists on capitalism.

AI solves problems we already solved, because it copies someone else's answer. Real engineering is novel, fine tuned, and specific to the problem you're solving in a way AI cannot solve.

Effective tools of the past have been so good they're undeniable. React and JQuery won because they revolutionised JS development. AI makes programming worse, and every claim that it's solved a novel problem turns out a blatant lie.

18.02.2026 19:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I'm tempted to couch the view in "not that I'm against GenAI. But honestly, no. Companys just do not have the restraint necessary to use AI effectively, and it's easier than ever to use it badly.

18.02.2026 19:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You have to build processes and code that actually work and hope that product don't notice, because they'll do everything to fuck it up. It's an awful dynamic, and AI is just another bad idea you need to defend against.

One frustrating aspect of AI in tech is understanding that AI won't solve the problem they have, but explaining why requires more technical and product competence that the people pushing for AI have.

Sorry to get radical but I don’t think it’s my job or yours to embrace, accept, understand - and certainly not to use - the thing being sold to us as AI. I don’t like any part of it, so I won’t. I’m missing out? Good, that’s what I want. You’re worried about me missing out? That’s fuckin weird, man.

the democrats deliberately boosted the candidacy of donald trump and ran status-quo empty suits against him and those brilliant strategies got the US two trump terms. a few oddly still have the audacity to blame the left for their lack of enthusiasm in cheering on these obviously awful plans

Maybe the dems should set their standards higher than the prince of darkness as their candidate for president.

It really sounds like this person is getting a buzz from being in a position of power, and has no problem with agitating to keep the drama going.

In time she will fade into obscurity having never contributed to art more than slandering an artist. Meanwhile I'll be jamming to Techdog ❀️

Okay so... Oppose Republicans on ice funding then. Make a stink about the budget and refuse to sign.

You can't on the one hand tell Americans to fight, and on the other sign a budget that destroys their lives.

My favourite gym exercise has to be the Bulgarian Split Squat. It's very challenging, and has at times given me instant headaches and fatigue so bad I had to e d the session.

But nothing feels so effective in the week of recovery afterwards. My legs just sting for 5 days.

Exclusive: Keir Starmer Orders Labour To Ramp Up Attacks On Green Party The prime minister has privately told No.10 allies they must train their fire on Zack Polanski's party.

Starmer plans to attack the only Jewish party leader over antisemitism.

He wants to attack Zack Polanski for challenging Britain's role as lapdog to Donald Trump.

What does this tell us?

Labour is very rattled - and they absolutely should be.

The enemies have always been comparison, diet fads, and attempts at perfection.

Just improve a little bit, and then let it settle. Repeat week on week and you'll get there ❀️

After nearly a year of work I've made it to 25% body fat. The biggest lesson has been consistency above all else.

Some weeks are good, some bad, but just showing up for your health a little bit every week pays off over time. My diet has been all over the place and it is getting better.

How embarrassing to work for the organized kidnapping ring known as "ICE." Rolling out of bed every day to be a brainless goon. You are lower than a worm to me

There's something so comforting about Microslop becoming the common use company name.

TRON Ares is so bad that Disney had to advertise it to me in front of Pirates of the Caribbean.

It's heartening to know that Jared Leto is officially box office poison.

I finally took the step to uninstall Microslop, and embrace Linux.

I know Arch is a painful Linux distro, but at this point in my career I need to understand Linux to a degree where I can make games and contribute to open source desktop apps.

Dumb realisation: if you had the power of invisibility, you would also be blind while invisible because there's no light hitting your eyes.
