29.11.2025 20:00 β π 639 π 79 π¬ 13 π 3An extraordinary thing, this.

The thing about transphobia becoming horrifically, boringly mainstream is... Well, it's horrifically, boringly mainstream. Congrats, transphobes. You've made opposing your bullshit cool, sexy and countercultural.
03.12.2025 13:59 β π 12 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0Cornbread is always going to be sweet, though, because corn is sweet.
01.12.2025 23:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Similar to the OpenAI suit, it was a case of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". It has done far more damage to the Disney brand than letting themselves be sued would have done.
26.11.2025 10:34 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The restaurant wasn't owned or operated by Disney (it was Raglan Road, an Irish pub in Disney Springs). The mouse lawyers were looking for a quick dismissal, but obviously lost this one in the court of public opinion.
26.11.2025 09:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Horribly unfair that authors, a group of people who looked at their career options and decided hallucinating in front of a keyboard was for them, are forced to socialise as part of the job.
24.11.2025 15:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you've got a bit of spare cash and you're feeling generous, please consider donating to Girlguiding and writing in the comment box after you click submit that it's to protect their trans members. They're currently being sued (again) for welcoming trans girls.
14.11.2025 21:47 β π 17 π 14 π¬ 0 π 0As we approach the end of the year, it's a great time to record things you love! Not just for the Hugo Awards, but in general. The rec sheet is a handy resource for nomination, but also at its heart a rec resource in a loud, busy media environment.
12.11.2025 19:54 β π 35 π 32 π¬ 1 π 6Recently, I've been getting really into chess. I have found that nerding out about chess is treated differently to nerding out about other board games.
I'm not good at chess! I'm still figuring out where the little horsies can move! But people sure do assume some things when I mention liking it.
These people believe that their rich ancestors not working means no women worked.
07.11.2025 23:14 β π 22 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Yup, it was those ones, and honestly kudos to ya for already having taken them down. Someone took screenshots from the online panel and then cropped out the watermark. It's lovely to see how many pirates have done the right thing when they find out though.
07.11.2025 18:04 β π 16 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A screenshot from BBC News which reads "Johnson reserved his harshest comments for New York's mayor-elect. "Zohran Mamdani is without a doubt the biggest win for socialism in the history of the country, and". The screenshot has been cut off here.
Some words of hope from the US House Speaker.
05.11.2025 16:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Apparently the current version peaks in protection after about a month, so... orgy at the end of November, I'm guessing?
28.10.2025 13:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0From what I've seen, the organiser only asks that people don't repost the whole video, or do a transcript of the whole thing. Plenty of people have been sharing quotes etc.
28.10.2025 12:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Where's the cool for young people these days? Where's the weird? This might be old man yells at cloud, but what the hell happened to youth fashion culture?
22.10.2025 10:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Christ on a bike, it's two weeks away and I've already heard Zombie on a Halloween playlist.
17.10.2025 21:18 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do young people want youth clubs? The article doesn't hear from any of them. Our local youth club died because only four young people were attending on the reg.
12.10.2025 16:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's a shame that he's swung so far to the right in his old age after being interesting and inventive as a young comedian.
10.10.2025 18:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not even a good stage magician.
09.10.2025 22:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well you're still looking an absolute cutie, even if you don't feel like going out and about like that.
07.10.2025 21:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I wonder why they have such a good recipe for pork. Surely just a coincidence.
07.10.2025 17:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0In France?
06.10.2025 19:14 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Christine Wada did the costume design for #Loki, right?
04.10.2025 19:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1A meerkat with its paws on the ledge of its enclosure.
This brave little guy ran up to check me out as soon as I got to their enclosure this morning. Immediately made me think of Dave Fane's escaping meerkat story (IYKYK).
04.10.2025 17:41 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Interesting that 72% is represented as filling less than half the bar.
25.09.2025 08:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yup, and it's Β£100, which I doubt very much most people will be willing to pay.
24.09.2025 13:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The only people who are now eligible for covid vaccines are those aged over 75, elderly care home residents, and people who are severely immunosuppressed (people with HIV, SCID, undergoing radical radiotherapy, etc).
I'm sure this will be fine.
This year, the NHS has severely limited its list of who is eligible for a covid vaccine. The press release says it's because it's "now a relatively mild disease", meaning those with long term conditions like cystic fibrosis no longer need to be vaccinated.
24.09.2025 11:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Haha I went and looked it up after this, because I was pretty sure it didn't fit the definition, and yup! Scottish banknotes aren't legal tender in England. Still annoying that the shop wouldn't take it though.
