Ferguson has a $1 billion plan for WA ferries The plan comes at a perilous time for the ferry system and as state finances are strained. Still, Ferguson says, the state has the resources for this investment.

This is 24 hour sheltering - not the overnight Severe Weather Shelter program.
This training is designe to equip local volunteers with the essential knowledge needed to activate a disaster shelter. A shelter will open before a major storm disrupts safe travel, providing bedding and meals until it is safe to travel once again.
