Big mood this morning

Today I was laid off from Dark Horse Comics. While devastating news, I'm so proud of what I helped make there and am grateful to have worked alongside such amazing coworkers and creators.

Forced myself Friday night to physically write out with pencil and paper some characterizations I'm workshopping for an original story and I've come to this same realization: I fear a childlike state of play precisely because it requires a vulnerability—a dissolving of all inhibition—to operate.

I have to say I love it over here. It’s positive, social, supportive, thoughtful, passionate… And the influx of people is amazing. I never gained followers this quick over Twitter.

There are currently only 22 films streaming on Netflix made before 1980 and not a single one made before 1960, with the oldest film on the platform currently being PSYCHO. I know I’m a broken record but: buy physical media, support your local library, etc etc
