It took so much fighting and following up to get in. It changed my life. At the follow up, he just said "you don't have cancer" but after prodding, admitted it was adenomyosis.

Thank you so much for sharing this!
I had adenomyosis. The pain would get so bad, I'd have to go to the ER for a Toradol shot.
I was repeatedly told to just take birth control and it would fix it, but I can't because I have bipolar disorder and I react extremely negatively to birth control.
Endometriosis and adenomyosis are medical conditions where you are not believed. Where, in my experience, male doctors don't have the first clue and just keep prescribing you more pain medication. A film worth your time "This is Endometriosis". Award winning.

"This Is Endometriosis" won Best British Short Film at the 2026 BAFTAS.
Lived with endometriosis & adenomyosis until I had a hysterectomy to eliminate risk of endometrial cancer. For decades I was told to take more pain meds, that I just had bad periods, and it would get better with pregnancy. 1/

March 6 is Black Balloon Day, a time to remember and honour the people weβve lost to substance use related harms and the toxic drug poisoning crisis.
Today we speak their names and hold them close in our hearts.
Say their name.
I didn't know that!

Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas says the city pays equalization "transfer payments" to Edmonton.
Not even close. He's intentionally twisting words to misinform and manipulate Calgarians.
Calgary's property taxes will contribute 11.7% of the province's education budget this year. Not "equalization".

The UCP promised triage doctors weeks ago, but Albertans are still waiting.
Now the Premier is pointing fingers instead of taking responsibility.
Yet again, this government is playing the blame game while ERs remain overcrowded and frontline staff are stretched to the limit.
I don't pretend to know much about business, inflation, the grocery sector etc. But Mr McLean is correct; food prices in Canada are bananas (see what I did there?). The fact remains that grocery stores are raking it in, despite their complaints that they're just scraping by.
