It's a system designed to produce poor quality candidates, unfortunately.

07.03.2026 22:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yes, I mentioned that later in the thread. But at minimum doing every state within six weeks is an absolute must.
07.03.2026 22:07 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Yes. It is insane how much of the current structure just needs to be scraped and started over.

07.03.2026 21:55 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I’m sure he‘s posting some self-congratulatory message right now using all the latest buzzwords. 🙄
07.03.2026 21:40 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Of course none of that would be needed if we just ditched the insane electoral college. And, honestly, that’s probably not much harder than primary election reform. 🤷♂️
07.03.2026 21:39 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Unfortunately the dates for each states’ primary are set by the state itself so it’d be tough to get it done. It’s nothing but a bundle of bad incentives right now, often producing terrible candidates in the general.
07.03.2026 21:39 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Additionally, this gives incentives to states to get their numbers up to try and move earlier on the calendar in following years. It also favors a campaign style closer to the general (TV/internet) vs the Iowa caucus nonsense.
07.03.2026 21:39 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0By taking a dynamic approach like this, the structure will favor the candidates who appeal to the most critical states. And the clincher in a tight race will fall in the final vote to the one appealing most to those areas.

Next, of course the next swingiest but not super close states. (5-15% gap maybe)
And, naturally, the last group would be the very blue and very red states. (Everybody else)
There should be 3-4 election dates, separated by two weeks or so. The order would be:
1st group: the states with the tightest margin in the last general election (0-5% gap in the vote for example)
I guess this is my excuse to make my pointless case again for how best to reform the primary process. It is designed to bring forth the best candidate who can win in the general.

I haven’t mentioned this for a while but (fun fact!) the members of the Congress of the United States could remove him in a matter of hours.
They don’t do it because they love what is happening and want it to keep going.
People have been saying…

I don’t want to yuck anyone else’s yum but if you haven’t been out of the U.S. in a while, I can tell you christianity in other places is completely different than this bizarro world version found in the states.
(Yes, I realize this is just a weird sub-sect of christianity.)
Ah, that makes sense! I was listening while writing and I could totally picture it in a movie while my characters were doing their thing.
