I do very much enjoy your visions and words. I passed by Annapurna back in ‘73 on a two month trek from Pokhara to Jomsom Mustang. The rhododendron forests with granite boulder lined tumbling streams were magical! 💙🙏💛

Looking up into the inside of a redbud tree canopy in October. Light from the outside is illuminating the autumn leaf colors of yellow, orange, red and green. The leaves are abundant and overlapping their heart shapes as they dangle from a few spindly dark brown branches. Touches of blue sky peeks through in just a few very small spots. It all looks a bit like a kaleidoscope’s image.

I can hardly wait for the arrival of this kaleidoscope of colors… the redbud trees here in Portland should be in their full autumn glory in just a few more weeks!

I was in Bratislava in 1970. It’s changed a bit! 😂 At the InTourist hotel I was required to stay at, the evening meal was ten tablespoons of green peas. No desert. Go Soviets! But later in the evening, the hotel workers gathered in the courtyard, got drunk, sang songs. It was most wonderfully human.
