When I taught at Texas State, I used Felix Gonzalez-Torres's work in a warm-up exercise. Students were moved by his art. Seeing its meaning truncated is just sad. In this new day of censorship, I wonder if I would even be allowed to present such art in the classroom of a state institution anymore.
