Most AAA games nowadays are designed to suck up hundreds- if not thousands -of hours of your life and plenty of people have done so with indie titles like Stardew Valley and Balatro and Vampire Survivors as well. And those are just BIG big names.

This may be A Hot Take(tm) but with the prevalence of what we consider "binge culture" with the rise of streaming services as well as movies going well over two hours we fully denounce the idea that attention spans are truly shrinking. If it was THAT much of an issue movies would be getting shorter.
