"Joy as an act of resistance", yes, but it also represents the way that Puerto Ricans live life and celebrate it despite our odds, despite all of the horrible things that are happening and have happened to us as a people.

Something to remark about Bad Bunny's performance last night is the fact that stage design contextualized the performance as a representation of real life. It was not an empty stage with moving platforms and lights.

This is important as it adds to the message that life happens DESPITE the odds.

Tonight I got to celebrate Puerto Rico and my bestie @flicklix.bsky.social culture and it was one of the best nights ever.
