Been taking a break from writing for the last few weeks, prepping for our holiday to the Netherlands 😊

The house is finally sorted, lots of ND friendly storage, got rid of a load of crap in the garage, packed for the hols & cleared the various doom piles! I'm now thoroughly ready to be on holiday 🤣

Oooh yes love a good flashback! I like to give my players the chance to flesh out their backstory in game too, so that's a great idea ☺️

The dream was kind of half flashback come to think of it, as they were pulled into a "genetic memory" of sorts 😅

🧵(/end) I got to drop a lot of lore, plant seeds for future plot & answer lots of player questions. It was so much fun & gave me a big confidence boost, as both players really enjoyed themselves 😊 I've now prepped dreams for each player, so I have them to fall back on if needed.

They chose to incorporate Gnashy as a hazard on ther Vine Swinger Challenge. Making his lair the end point, potentially easily avoidable, yet still perilously close. One misstep, a slip across wet moss or simply an overshot leap would land you directly within Gnashy's lair.🧵(5/6)

The shine wore off a bit however, when it was evident that Gnashy was quite content to allow them to swing away high above... As long as you didn't fall in, after that you were fair game. After the first close call, the Camp Captains decided this was an excellent "teachable moment"!🧵(4/6)

In the following years it became an unofficial 'rite of passage' to pay Ol' Gnashy a visit. Campers & Captains alike scaled the tallest mushrooms to swing on vines from one precarious shelf to another, directly above Gnashy's ever gaping maw.🧵(3/6)

After years of attempts to defeat the creature or seal it away, Ol' Gnashy proved as immovable as it is ancient, repelling every attempt with relative ease. Eventually, begrudgingly admitting defeat, the Camp Captains decided to live & let live, skirting their training routes around the lair.🧵(2/6)

Sprouting before the Karst Emergence, surviving The Time of Tumult & settlement of The Great Karst City, Gnashy has thwarted numerous attempts on it's life.
