As a kid, I didn't realize the EXP you earn from the daycare triggers upon taking a step and figured you just earn more the longer you keep a Pokemon in it.

So I'd try to leave my system on overnight while charging and wonder why my Pokemon didn't grow any levels the next day.

Hoppers was great. Really felt a lot of it as someone who grew up around a nature reserve and went on a lot of woodsy vacations

One detail I think is kind of clever is how in the anime, the torch used in the Pokemon League is the flame of Moltres, so it being in Victory Road (Within close proximity of the league) is kind of cool given the series pretty much never shows that area.
