The "War on Fraud" has been done on the state & local levels by the Tea Party of the 2010s, which became MAGA. It was nothing more than scapegoating & a cover for austerity.

Libs & socdems look at socialist criticism of Mamdani as a referendum on whether or not he's a nice guy or has a good heart.

The actual criticism is whether what he's part of is doing anything useful for the movement for socialism, if it can deliver anything helpful, or if there's a better way.
