"And so, man raped the Earth." is a reflection of what the world is heading to become if humanity keeps exploiting the earth and its resources. The structure present in the middle of the painting is the same one present in the left panel of Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights. Said left panel is his representation of the Garden of Eden upon its conception by God in the book of Genesis. Green grass is replaced with dunes of black ash and sand, and any foliage is petrified and starkly grey. It is a dead landscape.
